FAQ’s

How do I place an order?

It’s really easy!  Go to our CSA page, decide on what package you would like (for more details on our packages click on their links) and simply fill out the Ready to Join form with your contact information and what package you would like to order.  We will email you within 24-48 hours with your invoice and payment options for your package. Your CSA package will be ready to pick up the 1st Tuesday of the coming month.

What is the pickup location?

Orders can be picked up at our farm residence: 253 Line Road, Berne NY 12023, between the hours of 9am to 12pm and 3pm to 5pm, on the first Tuesday of the month.

Other pick up times are by appointment only, please contact us if you are unable to pick up during the set pick up times.  Delivery may be an option for special circumstances, please contact us.

Can I order individual cuts?

Yes!  Send us an email or give us a call and we will do our best to fill your individual cut needs.  You can also order through Schoharie Fresh which is an online farmers market we are proud to be apart of through SUNY Cobleskill.  For more information please go to their website: www.SchoharieFresh.com

How do I renew my CSA subscription?

When your CSA subscription is expired you will need to go back to our CSA webpage and select your package and refill out our Ready to Join form just as you did the first time signing up.

We will send you an email before your CSA subscription expires as a reminder.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Payment will be accepted through PayPal or Check.  Please select your payment choice when filling out our Ready to Join form.  Check payments will need to be received prior to or at the time of picking up for first month’s CSA subscription and payment is required at this time for the full subscription amount. Check payment invoices will be emailed to you prior to your first pick up.  PayPal payments for the full subscription amount will need to be received prior to the pick up date for the first month’s CSA subscription.  A PayPal invoice for PayPal payments will be emailed to you prior to your first pick up.

What if I can't make it to the pick up on the first Tuesday of the month?

No problem.  We ask that you simply end an email to us or call us at 518-526-6623 prior to your pick up time.  We can hold onto your order for you until you are ready to get it.

Where are your animals processed?

All of our animals are processed in a small, USDA Inspected and Animal Welfare Approved facility.

How is the meat package?

All of our meat is packaged based on vacuum sealed packages that are frozen.  This process should eliminate freezer burn and keeps the value of your meat.  Each one of the cuts will be labeled so you know exactly what is inside as well as the weight of the cut.

How much space does 15lbs of meat take up in my freezer?

15lbs of meat would fill approximately 3/4 of a normal grocery store bag.

How are your animals raised?

Our farm is Beef Quality Assurance certified and our cattle’s quality of life and comfort of living is our top priority.  Our cattle are pasture raised and have free choice access to pastures, barns and feeding facilities at all times.  Our cattle have free choice of all their foods which include only locally grown forages, hay and grains, much of which is grown right on our farm. All of our meat are free of antibiotics, hormones and by products, they are 100% all natural.
